She had reservations. But she thought that if things didn't fall into place that his love was warm enough to shelter in. And when she arrived it was. She bared her flesh and she basked in his gaze. She was sure of him and of herself. And she went to sleep feeling safe in his arms.

When she woke, she could hear him typing in the next room. Shivering, she gathered the blanket around her and tiptoed in to see him. He looked up, his smile quick and thin. She tried to interest him in her kisses, but she felt strangely out of place.

She wasn't sure why things had changed, but she knew they had.
